Jim is a native of Jackson, Tennessee. He has been a licensed long term care administrator since 1983 and is dually licensed in South Carolina for Nursing Home and Community Resident Care. In addition, he is nationally qualified as a Health Services Executive (HSE) through the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards in Washington, DC, and is a Registered Housing Manager (RHM) through the National Center for Housing Management. He has served since 1983 in the roles of a licensed administrator, regional director, and CEO of retirement communities and currently maintains active or officially inactive licenses in six states.
Jim holds degrees from Union University (BA), Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M. Div.), Webster University (MA-Health Services Management) and completed two academic years of Clinical Pastoral Education (5 Units) at Geisinger Medical Center.
Throughout his career he has been active in professional organizations and served on committees and boards on the state level and national level with Leading Age, American Health Care Association and the American Medical Directors Association .
Jim reports to the Board of Directors and oversees the Corporation and its Mission. The Towers has a well-established and active Resident Association consisting of nine Standing Committees, in which, Jim serves as an ex-officio along with four elected Resident Officers on the Executive Committee.
Jim has one son, Richard, who is a Commercial Real Estate Jim is one of five children, and enjoys keeping up with his extended family, which includes his daily conversation with his Mother, who still lives in his hometown of Tennessee.
