We Love Westminster Towers:
With a Smile
Ruthie Strubbe has worked at Westminster Towers for more than six-and-a-half years and is a vital part of our team at the Towers. She works as a receptionist, greeting residents with a smile and helping them access the Health & Rehabilitation services that Westminster Towers offers.
Ruthie’s favorite part of her job is helping residents who call and come to her window. She’s been recently inspired by the residents’ ability to stay cheerful in spite of the quarantine. Thankfully, visitors are welcome now! Her favorite part of the job is encouraging the folks who are finishing rehab by telling them, “You’re graduating!”
Big on Family
Ruthie grew up in New Jersey before moving to South Carolina. She has nine nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews with whom she loves spending time. Ruthie enjoys getting together with her family, especially around Christmas time.
“My favorite family tradition is everyone gathering for Christmas Eve at my niece’s home.”
A Faith-Centered Life
Ruthie’s faith is the cornerstone of her life. If she could meet one historical figure from any time period, she would want to meet Jesus. She also told us she would name her autobiography “Saved For a Purpose.” In her free time she enjoys listening to the music of Chris Tomlin, MercyMe, and Bill Gaither.
Ruthie’s favorite hobbies are crocheting, reading, and adult coloring books. She also loves to sing and care for her two cats, Gracie and Topaz. Ruthie’s dream vacation is to take a cruise to somewhere warm, either for a Christian cruise or a Disney one.
