Westminster Health and Rehabilitation is a Not-for-profit organization that provides Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation services. We serve our residents with Integrity, Respect, Excellence, while striving to Enrich their lives.

We are searching for individuals who will provide quality, compassionate care to the seniors we serve. The successful candidate will work well within the interdisciplinary team, and will help to create a comfortable and positive environment for our seniors and their families.

Tasks:

  • Provide guidance to LPNs and CNAs
  • Administer medications, provide vaccinations, and render treatment to senior adults.
  • Communicate with physicians, CNAs, and other nurses regarding resident care.
  • Participate in creating a plan of care and charting for each resident.
  • Respond to inquiries and concerns from residents and their families.
  • Assist with patient education for discharge planning.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 3+ years RN experience, preferably working with seniors.
  • Valid Nursing License.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and fill in when needed.
  • Working knowledge of South Carolina health care laws and regulations.
  • Current CPR Certification.

Work Schedule:

  • 2nd Shift and Weekends

Provides care for residents which require a skilled level of personal attention in the
Health Center. This care will include all activities of daily living, ambulation, and emotional assistance and support.

Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to nursing service policies and procedures.

Identify special resident problems and report them immediately to Charge Nurse.
Provide direct resident care as assigned.

Conduct resident rounds every two hours and more often as needed.

Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective action.

Assume accountability for compliance with federal, state and local regulations within the unit assigned and within his/her span of control.

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

  1. Certified by the state of South Carolina as a Nursing Assistant
  2. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  3. Must be able to relate to the elderly.
  4. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  5. Have ability to perform limited supervision.

Westminster Towers is a not-for-profit, locally owned, and operated Life Plan community that has been serving seniors since 1989.

Westminster Towers is looking for organized hard working housekeepers with an attention to detail.

At this time, we are seeking full time and part Housekeepers to join our team!

  • Perform cleaning procedures in Independent Living, the Manor and the Health Center in accordance with facility policy.
  • Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
  • Follow oral and written directions.\
  • Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness/functioning and request repairs as necessary.
  • Observe and report the need to repair any and all equipment, furniture, or fixtures to supervisor.
  • Report any observed area in poor repair to supervisor.
  • Perform floor care of carpet and tile floors, both in public areas and cleaning of resident carpet as needed/requested.
  • Collect soiled resident flat laundry and transport to Laundry Room. Return clean laundry to residents per policy.
  • Set up and tear down for special events, programs and activities, per work orders and as instructed by management.
  • Empty trash cans across campus, paying particular attention to Health Center resident care areas.
  • Clean resident laundry rooms across campus.
  • Sweep and mop stairwells.
  • Deliver packages, flowers etc. to residents.
  • Touch up paint and stain work: baseboards, furniture legs, chair rails etc.
  • Dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies.

Job Requirements:

  • High school graduate.
  • Attend all Environmental Services Department meetings and in-services.
  • Demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Read, know, and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies.
  • Work every other weekend with rest days off during the week.
